AI: Controversy

Another post for Amateur Illustrator’s weekly sketch contest. This week, the topic was ‘controversy’. I thought of going for something that addressed current events, or perhaps some Bush-bashing, but ultimately decided against it in favor of something sillier.
My controversy is “The Dish Ran Away with the Spoon”, based on the well-known Mother Goose nursery rhyme. Inter-dinnerware relationships are a pretty controversial topic to me.
This sketch was completed with a ball-point pen and then scanned and colored in Paint.NET (it’s what I have installed at work). Given that I had to color the thing with a mouse, I think it turned out pretty well.

Thank you all for your comments! As for how often I update my blog, I must confess that I haven’t been very consistent. However, I hope that will change in 2009!

Hi all,
I’ve been looking through the author links on this thread and found many, many links to warez sites, porn, portals, and other nonsense. As a result, I went through all of the comments on this site and culled any link that did not go to a personal site or blog.
I’m sorry if I unwittingly deleted legitimate comments in the process, but I can’t simply let spammers take over my comments.
In addition, I’ve also turned off comments on this particular post until further notice, since it was attracting a large volume of spam.
